It's All Aidan's Fault

Okay, it's a little bit Asher's fault, too. Aidan started teeball with a practice last week. His first game was yesterday - photos and video to come - so after I spent a small fortune on balls and gloves and helmets and bats and sports drinks the boys practiced all. day long. Which means I was outside with them all. day. long. And that is why by the time it came game time at 7pm I had to wear long sleeves because underneath I was rockin' this

So, in conclusion, if running doesn't kill me - and I still hold steadfast that it might - the kid's summer vacation might. Mark my words.

I feel your pain. I worked at Field Day for my 11 and 9 year old. Why are we such wonderful moms???

Oh.My.GOD... I feel for you. See, I rarely get sunburn... Not because I have the kind of skin that all women would kill for, that tans perfectly after 45 minutes in the sun, no that's not it... it's Because as soon as the temp goes above 75, I stay my fat ass indoors with the A/C blaring and watching soaps and Dr.Phil. I'm sure my kids would kill for a mom like you who volunteers her poor vulnerable body to venture outdoors to cheer them on while they play. My kids are stuck with the "why don't you just sit and watch tv or play video games cuz mom's too fat, lazy and whiny to go outside" mom.

Dang!!! Been there and it truly sucks!! I have however found out from experience (and my local Rx store) that if you apply what I call "itchy cream" (hydrocortisone cream)(any brand will do) it helps take the pain and swelling down. I honestly thought at first they had lost their mind, but after a bad sunburn that left me with some very tender areas... well I tell everyone now to give it a try. =]

Ouch, ouch, ouch! I am a person who burns, too. I go from white and pale to red and sunburned in no-time. There is no in-between or tan for me. Nope. I do all that I can to avoid it, though, 'cause skin cancer runs in my family unfortunately. I hope you weren't in too much pain for too long.
