...and he's the little bugger who brought the freaking swine flu home! The Mr is sick, home from work and pretty pissed off about it. It's like the second time he's ever missed work in the 8 1/2 years I've known him.
Asher is sick. He's got a fever and has had one for 2 days because he refuses to take medicine. He doesn't sleep - as evident by this 2am blog post - so I don't sleep. I've got the worst sore throat I've ever had and a fever so I'm freezing and then sweating and Asher simply HAS to be ON me EVERY SECOND... So yeah, poor me, mkay?!?!
We kept Aidan home today despite him feeling all better because how can that be possible, it's H1N1, how can he only be sick one day with it? He's going in the morning cuz one well child and the 3 of us sickies stuck in the house was no bueno. Aidan can't understand why we don't all want to play. BECAUSE YOU GAVE US SWINE FLU!!!
There's really no point to this post, just a pity party. However, on the plus side, I haven't held vomit in my hands today. Why do I do that? It never stops the puke from getting everywhere and it makes me throw up, too. There's a serious flaw in that particular motherly instinct.

Oh no... I feel your pain! It's always awful when all the adults in the house are sick... ! Hope you all feel better soon!
i'm a puke catcher too...why is that?
Sorry you all are sick...get better soon!
Feel better.
Get well soon!
My husband doesn't get the vomit catching thing either. He probably is right. It is better to just clean up of afterwards because there is not chance you really are going to catch it all.
Are you better??? Or at least the same???
Oh no!! I hope you all feel better soon!
Iiick That is just awful. GET Well soon Everyone. I so can relate with the flu and symptoms and having to take care of babies at the same time. NO time for mom to even feel sick.
Never had H1N1 but I have a ? for you.
DId you's get the shot or are you going to get it?
What were your thoughts before getting H1N1?
Ugh. You poor things. Feel better soon.
So sorry to hear you guys are (were) feeling bad. My little Zo did the same thing- she was diagnosed felt bad for a day but then was bouncing off the walls- I kept telling her she was faking it! Kids are more resilient than our old-asses!
Okay I will admit to being a "sympathy" vomitter, but no catching here. I grap the nearest blanket , towel, or heck pull a shirt off to catch it. I have to say it has prevented cleaning a floor. Hope you are all feeling better soon!
i've attempted to catch vomit in my bare hands too. it doesn't work but it just seems the thing to do at the moment...
funny thing, trinity is home today after her huge poop/fever thing yesterday. and i swear, she is fine. i'm sending her butt to school tomorrow. me, on the other hand, puke-o-rama. :( wth?
I feel SO bad for all of you! I hope you all feel better really soon. As for Asher's fever, I say to get him some Tylenol suppositories, that'll teach him to take medicine - it worked for my boys... in ONE dose!
I was always a "puke-catcher" on instinct, too - which I never got either, because I am also a sympathy puker! Doesn't work well together. I think it is one of those mommy things that happens when you have kids like reaching over to the passenger seat of the car with your right hand when you step on the break, no matter who is in it (even if it's nobody)!
