Turns Out It Was A Very Useful Feature

The thing I miss most about my Mariner is that nifty little keypad feature. If I still had that, there would be no need for the nice police officer to come when the little terror known as Asher climbs into my truck and locks himself in.

Not only does he lock himself in and refuse to pull the handle to open the door, he very slowly and deliberately take his socks and shoes off and rummages through my purse while smiling and I imagine thinking Um, Mom, you can't do anything about this and I looooove it!!!

Then he promptly falls asleep in there. So it's not like I could spank his naughty little butt when we got him out, right?

OMIGOD! My youngest used to do this ALL THE TIME to my husband - can't even count how many times he had to call AAA! And it ALWAYS draws a crowd.

Look at him! How could you call him a terror? At least he didn't fire it up and go hot roddin' on you! Aidan totally would have done that!

OMG, I remember the day my youngest boy, ... it was pouring, really pouring rain...I got into the car with him (about 11 mos) and just laid him in the passengers seat with his bottle......my BIG plan was to lean over the seat and put him in his car seat....I was JUST running to the bank before it closed....I ran back in to get a pen....and he had sat up and played with the buttons locking all the doors...the police were not happy with me.

little bugger. i thought my oldest was MISSING, called hubby freaking out, almost dialed 911 when i found him sitting in my car reading a book. i was so relieved, i couldn't be sufficiently angry at him... which REALLY bugged me!

That is just sooo cute!! I know it is so annoying to you, but then to have him fall asleep like that with the trail mix in his hands, OMG, you're right, how can you spank his little butt then???

Yikes! What a scary feeling. I guess I did this when I was a kid but luckily my kids never did.

Well at least he had some snacks in there too. It is kind of cute that he fell asleep in there (because it is hard work to taunt your mom from inside a locked car).

i'd have probably still spanked him! :)
