Talk About A Wandering Mind

You'll have to forgive me for the following schizophrenic post, I've got a lot on my mind.

I really want to blog about this government health care bill, just not bad enough to take the shit storm that will ensue. Do not assume you know my stance

I also want to block an IP address from viewing my blog - who can help me with that?

Yo Gabba Gabba freaks. me. out. My God, do you have to be all fucked up on heroin to come up with the latest hit kids show?

I just realized one of my fave blogs is gone. She's just gone. And she didn't even say goodbye. It bothers me way more than it should.

To everyone who sent me this

I got the message, mkay? No more texting and driving.

I discovered yesterday that one of my fav blogs also up and disappeared without notice--wonder if it's the same one? That video is crazy--I think there should be more like it to shock people into submission.

Well, I was going to comment on how hilarious I think Yo Gabba Gabba is and that I kinda like it. Then I watched that video. Soon as I saw that infant and heard "no pulse" I was a goner. I'm totally in tears now. What a freaking powerful PSA...

Yo Gabba Gabba frightens me. Every time it comes on I stand in amazement and stare at it, waiting for the joke. Is it for real? Really?

Really?

And I changed the way comments are left on my blog. Someone else was also having problems. I think it should work now? Maybe?

Hey Amanda...I think you're talking about my blog (or I just have a big, self-centered head--entirely probable!)

I deleted because the whole thing was tainted by the affair (like a lot of my life) and I really don't want my daughter to be 8 years old and learn from some kid that her dad cheated on her mom and the whole thing is on her mom's blog. I'm sure the odds are slim that it would happen, but when it comes to my daughter's security, I'm not playing around with it.

And, some people who left comments were nasty. I could ignore a lot of them, but it bothered me that everyone who read my blog now saw me as a Betrayed Wife--not just Jaci, a mom and a writer. I don't know. It seemed better to delete it and take some time off from writing for awhile.

It probably was rude to just up and dump the blog, but it felt REALLY good to do it. I'll still read and leave annoying comments, though. :) You can't get rid of me!

I would love to hear your stance on the health care debate. Husband and I are on very different sides of the debate so there has been a lot of discussion around our house.

Yo Gabba Gabba = freaky similar to Teletubbies. What the heck!

My friend's BIL died in a car crash earlier this year and they think he may have been texting. Hubby keeps on me to stop. Now I try to only text at stoplights. I should really stop that too!

True about the kid's shows. One of the only channels I get is PBS kids and HOLY CRAP is some of that stuff weird. I am willing to bet that there is more than heroin involved. In fact, you could probably tell exactly what kinds of different drugs the writers/animators/directors were taking. If it makes you feel any better though, I grew up watching "the Yellow Submarine" and I am kind of normal.

That PSA is gnarly. I saw it the other day and halfway through I was thinking 'they have to be about done now, right? Nope, here comes another blow to the head...'

Anyway, you're funny when you are angry. I like it :)

Holy cow, I guess I hadn't seen the whole PSA before... I just saw the car crash scene on the news the other day and thought that was the end... but... wow. That was heartbreaking! I don't have texting on my phone, but if I did, I wouldn't do it while driving now!

Frankly Yo Gabba Gabba and the wiggles are both a bit too much. I would like to think Sesame Street was so much better that the silly nonsense they have on now.

Love the PSA heard about it saw it, powerful. Now they need to make one with adults who do this crap!

As for health care bill, hey say what you want on your blog. It is YOUR blog and you are entitled to YOUR opinion. If I do not like it I can leave. No need to be an ass on someone's blog.

whoa. Disturbing PSA vid. The wide eyed look of the infants got me all welled up. I drive a manual transmission, so texting is just not an easy option..which is fine by me. Honestly, I've never received a text msg that was so important that I couldn't wait to respond at a more appropriate time. Most folks feel so obligated to respond right then n there. I rather like not being at folks beck n call at any given moment. Make em wait, it'll do em some good.
