To Dave, With Love

So just to put it all out there, here are exact copies of the emails that Dave and I exchanged yesterday. He's a dandy, isn't he?

No problem, I actually have a blog of my own and will definitely do some research on your blog and will mention some things, which in my opinion are very true.
P.S. If you look at our email chain I’m not the only person you’re upset with so I’m convinced that the problem is not in me or our company but with you.
Good luck with your blog.

If you took the time to actually read my blog you would have seen that I have written 4 blog posts in which was mentioned. The first one here was written before I ever heard back from anyone and honestly believed I was being scammed. The second one here I wrote that I did hear back and maybe I was going to get my glasses afterall. The third one here I wrote on Jan 12 that I still had not gotten my glasses or even a shipping notice. And the last one where was mentioned is here simply saying that people wondering if dreamshades is a scam are finding my blog thru their searches.
The facts are that I placed my order on Dec 26, according to my eye dr they sent the info on Jan 4, and I received my glasses on Jan 27th (it would have arrived on the 23rd but had to be forwarded because we moved). In your last email you said my glasses were to me in 10 days and now you say it's my fault they took longer. Is blaming me really your way to convince me that I am wrong about sucky dreamshades customer service? I don't remember if I posted on any forums where people were asking about the legitimacy of dreamshades or not but if I did, send me the link and I'll be happy to update that posting with the rest of the story. As for my blog, I'm sure I'm misunderstanding and you're not telling me what I can and cannot write. You and I are not going to agree on this and I really don't know what else to say except I'm not changing my opinion.

Hi Amanda,
you placed your order during Xmas week on 12/16/09 when we were closed. On the 28th we replied to your email asking for your Dr Information. We did not get that info until 1/5 and completed and shipped your order on 1/11. If you read our policy you will see that it may take between 2-4 weeks to complete your glasses exactly because of the delay due to many parties involved in the process. I understand your frustration due to the delay but what you blog about being scammed, which is not the case, not true and very unfair. I would really appreciate it if you corrected your story and not give our customers the wrong impression. If you read our reviews on reputable sites like resslersratings.comor shopzilla we have 99% positive feedback and I don’t think you’re fairly judging our business.

Hi David,
Are you talking about what I wrote about on my blog? Because yes, I ranted a bit. I received my glasses a full month after I placed my order, not 10 days. I did not miss any correspondence into my spam folder, I checked that regularly. I called probably a hundred times and never once spoke to someone and noone ever called me back. I sent emails to at least 3 different email addresses with Dreamshades in the address and didn't get a response for days. During those days I was unable to get any answers from anyone I was furious, I thought I had been scammed, and yes, I wrote about it. So while I did eventually get my glasses (and I love them, which I have also written about) I am absolutely not happy with my experience with I wouldn't feel comfortable ordering from again.

Hello Amanda,
My name is David and I’m a general manager here at The reason I’m writing to you is because I read your review on a website and it sounds like you have been scammed by our company. By looking at our records I see that you did have a hard time contacting us due to our emails ending up in your spam folder but we did deliver your glasses within 10 days and responded to all your email in a timely manner.
Please tell us if you feel otherwise.

Really? He has got to be the most unprofessional general manager ever. If they have such great feedback then they shouldn't be all hot and bothered by a few blog posts? I mean, really...he is just dandy :)

WOW! What a jerk! Thanks so much for sharing this. I hope anyone doing a search and considering buying from Dreamshades DOES hit your site. And it's high time that companies realize "the power of the blog"! By the way, I'm sending a link to this post to all my friends, family, and co-workers so they don't have to suffer through the same experience you had. And I'm tweeting about it - so there.

What the flip?!!!! How could you not have mentioned this??

How come you didn't tell them a prego lady tried calling too?? Ha ha

Good luck with your blog.

Thanks scumbag!

BTW what did he threaten???? Just that he was going to mention you on his blog??

Doesn't that mean you'll get more traffic and raise the number of people reading your site?? Which in turn will make you higher on the list when someone looks up dreamshades???

Gosh I just love smart people!!
Hey, maybe he was anonymous!!!!!??

What an ass! I can't believe he is trying to tell you what to write and not write on YOUR blog. I agree completely with The Red Headed Mama, if he mentions you in his blog it is just going to increase your traffic and then it will make MORE people see your rant on Dreamshades.
This guy just doesn't get it!!
Don't let 'em get ya down, Sissy, go get him!!
